The Jewelry became my lifeline
Many years ago when I first moved to Bali, I was in the very darkest chapter of my life. I had quit everything back in Denmark, taken a cold turkey from my sleeping pills, depression medication and alcohol. Oh boy was I depressed and the light at the end of the tunnel was very far away.
The only thing I wanted was to have a glass of wine (more like a whole bottle actually) and forget everything. I couldn’t see how I could ever become happy again. I had no choice but to look myself in the mirror and start figuring out who I really was.
My whole existence was in ‘survival mode’ and I needed something from the outside to belief in, something to look forward to since my self belief was non existing.
Bali/Ubud is a very spiritual place and they care a lot about their beliefs. The Balinese is not the only ones with a lot of spiritual symbolism, but also the world you enter when you begin healing your life is filled with the same symbolism, stones and of course jewelry.
So I bought 3 pendants for my necklace, all of which should remind me of my affirmations in the times where I lost my bearings. I knew on my journey there would (and still are), days where I would feel that everything would be hopeless, and time where I would lose hope about becoming the happiest version of myself.
So on the days where my life was dark, I could look at my pendants and they quickly reminded me of the affirmations I had put into them(on a positive day), this made me slowly re focus on the things I wanted to attract more of in life.
The jewelry simply became my savior, and still are to this day, jewelry can become a beautiful reminder of our dreams, our worth and our goals.
Try it, it works magic.
What is an affirmation?
Here is a few examples:
“I am ready to receive everything I want”
“I deserve it, I am ready to relight my life”
“I am ready to manifest all my dreams”
“I have realized my worth”
“I am ready to use all the beauty that awaits me”
You can read a lot more about affirmations here.
On the picture below you can see 2 of the 3 original charms I bought that time in Bali, a purple amethyst heart(“I love myself”) and a Bali om(“I am here to be happy”)
