Life and other stories, What i learned on my journey
Nothing lasts forever.
What I learned from one of my beautiful and very talented yoga teachers in Bali.
Do you know that feeling, when something is so painful, it can be physical or mental, that you just want to give up?
Maybe you just broke up with someone you loved so much, that the pain is so deep you are sure you are going to die from it, or you are out running, you just want to give up, go home and eat a cookie because it just so dame hard.
So here I was, in a yoga class at the yoga barn in Bali, in goddess pose, and I just wanted to kill my self ( maybe not I kill, but you know what I mean), I am fighting with my mind, who is telling me how hard this is (like I am not aware) and my sweet yoga teacher then says, let´s stay for 10 more breaths, are you frocking kidding me? At this point I am almost on my way to give up at straighten my legs, when she says: Feel how hard this is, maybe you are shaking, maybe you are fighting with you mind if you should stay or not, now straighten your legs ( hallelujah ) and feel the easy that comes with realizing you are done. Remember my sweet friends, pain doesn’t last forever, everything is temporary.
The point here is that no matter how hard things may seem, it will always have a sweet ending, nothing last forever and pain will slowly fade away. Maybe you are in the middle of a painful storm or just out for a run, but honey I just want you to know that also this storm will pass.
But we have not even touched the sweet spot yet, there is more to learn from those wise words, it is about the ‘not giving up’ part. Even though everything seems impossible and hopeless, you have to know you are in the middle of a lesson, choose to learn from it instead of giving up, because I promise you, you will end up stronger and wiser when you come out on the other side.
Trust me on this one, I’ve been in dark thunderstorms a lot of times, so I know how hopeless you are feeling, that´s why I want you to take this lesson with you into your life, now every time a yoga pose gets hard, I remind myself “this is just for few breaths and I can do this, because I know now that the release is going to be so sweet.”
Even in daily life I use it now, I am away from my husband for 1 month and I already miss him a lot, but I don´t let this feeling take over my life, because I know I will soon se him again, and get my sweet relieve ( Don´t think in a dirty way here). Meanwhile I will enjoy my life and all the things I will learn on this journey.
Stop running away from things, stay in it and learn – I promise you are going to love the sweet release.
Let´s do a little exercise.
Stand in goddess position.
Hold it until your legs a shaking.
Just before you want to give up hold it a little longer.
And the release it, now really feel how fast the pain is over and you feel good again.
Extra bonus ( Do this every day for 30 days and see how strong you get)
Now I would love to hear from you, comment down below did you like this post, and if yes why ??
Big kiss from Thailand once again
